A boo boo for honor

Tonight I am thankful for Elmo band aids. Honor was running around this morning chasing her sisters and belly laughing. When she tripped and fell into her little chair. She cut her forehead and we all know with head cuts there is alot of blood. It did not bleed for every long but it was deep. So off to the doctors we went. He said it will probably scar but nothing a little vitamin e can't fix!! She has now joined jordyn in the dudes dig scars club!! So for the next week or so she will be sporting an Elmo band aid. The best part is Bree and jordyn think they need one too. Lol so if you see my kids walking around with Elmo band aids on their foreheads that's why!! It is also ok to laugh :) never a dull moment with the P's

Day 22 and 23

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We joined the fam, Tony and Nancy for dinner and family games. On Thanksgiving I was thankful for family and friends. It was nice to have Mark home this year. My big plan was to have a cute family picture to add to this blog post. Well, that did not happen before I could get everyone together the girls were all ready covered in food. LOL oh well such is life. We did not join all the crazy people for  all the black Friday deals. I hope all of you that went out got great deals and were safe. Today I am thankful for a warm house and food in the cupboards.
The cold germs have entered my house.  There has been tons of snuggling and not so much sleep these last week. Mark just got it :( All you ladies know what that means. LOL

Day 21

Today I am thankful for these little moments in my day. When I was busy cleaning they got quiet. Yep nothing good came from a quiet house when you have three little ones. This is where I found them. They were playing in the laundry room sink. Complete with running water. LOL Oh the joys

Love them wet cloths and all

Tonight I am thankful for vicks vapor rub. Honor is sick and stuffy. I love Vicks I rub some on the bottom of her feet put socks on her and it helps her breath all night. I have no idea how it works but it does. Give it a try next time your sick and see for yourself, and let me know what you think.

I love seeing the world through their eyes where every new thing is an adventure .

Day 4

Today I am thankfull for a dishwasher. Mine is not working right now:( and I am not a big fan of wash washing all the dishes. I am use to just washing all the food off of the plates and bowls and throwing them in the dishwasher.  The kids tried to help me fix it tonight. Well 4 little blondes trying to fix a dishwasher did not go as planed. Lol needless to say it is still broken and I will be calling a handy man in the morning.  Like I said its all about the little things.

It was a girls day today. Mark was out with friends watching football. Mom joined us for a day of shopping and playing. I needed to pick up some baby cloths for a friends grandsons baby shower next weekend. Jordyn is very excited about going to the baby party. She helped me pick out things for the little boy, and has been talking none stop about what we will be doing and who's going to be there. I hope you are ready for us. Lol. If you are ever bored and want some entertainment meet us in the toy section of target. Lol mom and I let the girls out of the cart. Lol it was a free for all the girls loved pushing all the buttons and taking everything off the shelves. I really need to find out how to be toy testers for fisher price or little tikes.

It has been three weeks since I last fed jordyn in her g- tube!!!! Can you say hell ya!!!!

Greetings

Hi everyone, I know it's been a long time. Life is going a mile a minute lately. Mark got home at the end of June from his last deployment. We have been taking lots of family trips to the nc zoo camping in myrtel beach, the aquarium petting zoos and the list goes on. Jordyn is now in nursery school three days a week and loving it. She is potty trained!! Which is a huge accomplishment in itself. So proud of her!! The girls are 19 months now and are into everything. I have taken the fronts off their cribs and put up bed gates. Because they were climbing in and out of them. They love them!! Most nights I find them snugging together in one bed. They are so stinking cute and by morning they are back in their own beds.
Jordyn is doing great! We went up to Duke a week ago now. She is doing fabulous!! We also got the green light to stop all overnight feeds through here g-tube!!! It's been a week and she is doing great i love it when she tells me she is hungry!! I just can't believe how much all of my girls are growing.  I will try to update more then what I have been. I will also try to update with some pictures.

All the little things

It seems like everyone is doing the 30 days of thanksgiving. For those of you that do not know about this. It's where everyday you say what you are thankful for. I might as well jump on the band wagon and join in. However, I think I will do it a little different. Every blog I read or Facebook entry people are listing all the big things. Now don't get me wrong I am thankful for my husband and my kids. The roof over my head and money for a rainy day too. I am thankful for the doctors and nurses for saving my little girls life and gratefull for my friends and family as well. But I think I will do my 30 days of thanksgiving about the little things. The things that you might take for granted or get all frazzled about. The little things that I am so gratefull to have. I know I have some catching up to do so here we go.
Day 1: I am thankfull for toys and books that spread out from my livingroom to dinning room to kitchen and depending on the day I may find some in the bathroom.

Day 2: I am thankfull for my husbands socks that he leaves all over the house that the girls find and wear on their hands like sock puppets.

Day 3: I am thankfull for a little girl who was helping me cook tonight and decided to add the whole bottle of parsley to the stuff shells we were making.

An Angel Birthday

Aiden had his 4th Angel Birthday on Tuesday. We went to the beach, walked and just had a fun crazy Piemonte day. We had cake and Jordyn wanted to sing happy birthday. She also told me next year we need blue candles. :) I posted a happy birthday message on facebook, and it meant so much to me of all of my family and friends that remember and love my little boy. I would be lying if I said that I did not cry. He will forever be looking after his sister's just like any big brother would do.

I posted this poem last year. But its fitting. Because of Aiden I would not have this life I love. I will always love my son :)

“A Pair of Shoes”Author Unknown
I am wearing a pair of shoes. They are ugly shoes.Uncomfortable shoes.I hate my shoes. Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair. Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.Yet, I continue to wear them.I get funny looks wearing these shoes. They are looks of sympathy.I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs. They never talk about my shoes. To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable. To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them. But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.I now realize that I am not the only one who wears these shoes. There are many pairs in this world. Some women are like me and ache daily as they try and walk in them. Some have learned how to walk in them so they don’t hurt quite as much. Some have worn the shoes so long that days will go by before they think about how much they hurt.No woman deserves to wear these shoes.Yet, because of these shoes I am a stronger woman. These shoes have given me the strength to face anything. They have made me who I am.I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.

We love you big boy, HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY. Give our love to the other two for us. See you some day :)

Happy Fontanaversary Jordyn P

It's congenital heart disease awareness week. It has also been a year since Jordyn had her last surgery. It's been a year since I sat, 7 months pregnant with the girls, at her bedside. A year since Mark had to be red crossed home from Afghanistan and it's been a year since we almost lost her. I can still remember every little detail of that night like I was living it in slow motion. The day after her surgery she was having a hard time keeping her numbers stable. They were having to give her lots and lots of plasma. She would be ok for a little after that, then they would drop again. Things started to go down hill when her oxygen on the resperator was turned up as high as it would go and her sats were still dropping. They had to start bagging her by hand. When they did this her sats went up for awhile. As time passed her O2 sats slowly came down and down. By the time she reached 40% I was being pushed out of the room while everyone else came rushing in. Life support was brought to right outside her door. I could see them working on her calling out orders and getting her ready to be rushed back to the OR. Then doctors started to come and talk to me. At that point everything sounded like I was underwater. I could hear them but I was fixated on Jordyn. Until the words "Something is very wrong and she may not make it to the OR down the Hall" were said, then life all at once hit me. Jordyn was crashing and crashing fast. They needed to get her to the cath lab to see what was going on with her heart. I was being asked to sign a piece of paper giving them permission to do the procedure without knowing if she will come back to me. They let me kiss her before they took her down the hall. I remember holding her hand and talking to her then kissing her forehead and then she was wheeled out the door. The cath lab staff were great. They called me when they got her down there, to let me know she was still stable, still being bagged. They called when they started and throughout the whole thing. Then the best call came. They found out that the new piece of gortext they put in had some how collapsed. They were able to fix it and she would be coming back to the PCICU in a little bit. When I spoke to the surgeon later that night he still did not know how that happened, that everything went great during her open heart and that it was just one of those things. He made it clear to me that she was not out of the woods and was still in critically condition. Jordyn was bagged for 5 hours untill they were able to find a setting on the vent that her body liked. I am forever grateful for the RT's, doctors, nurses who kept my baby alive. Jordyn had a very rough recovery from her last open heart. She is now feeling great and acting like a typical 3 year old. She has tons of energy and is on the go all day. She is my little heart hero and I can not wait to see what you become. I love you baby girl.

Hi Friends

Hi Everyone,
The P's are still here. I hope everyone is doing well. I made a list of all my new years resolutions and I am not doing so well with them. LOL My plan was to do better at the whole blogging thing. Fail lol. Maybe now I will try to do better. A lot has been going on already in 2012. I will break it down by family member, I think that will be easier.

Mark is back in Afghanistan :( The last time I talked to him was a few days ago he was doing good. Please keep him in your prayers. Before he left we got daddy dolls (little dolls with a picture of him on it) for all the girls. We also got a Flat daddy ( a life size mark from the waist up) It was given to us free from Ashley ( thank you I cant wait to get it in the mail) He also recorded tons of books for the girls and they love them. At one given time there is usually three books playing with marks voice at the same time. I love it !!!

Jordyn is Great better then Great!!!! We went to Duke for a check up a few weeks ago and everything looks great. no fluid anywhere!!!!!! heart function great!!!!!!!!!!!! and down one more med. I will call back in a few more weeks and then start to get off her last one. wooohoo. She is feeling good and looking good and is enjoying just being a kid. We got the go ahead to start nursery school in September so that's big. She is also eating more. We still have a long ways to go before we lose her g-tube but its a start. She is up to 27 lbs I love it. We have been making plans for lots of play dates with friends and I am so excited she loves to be around other kids. Go Jordyn. You will more mountains some day girl :)

Breanna is walking, I mean running, I mean walking while drinking her bottle. LOl this girl is on the move and fast. She loves it climb. Most days I will find her in the toy box or trying to get over the baby gate or somewhere getting into trouble. She loves to dance on her knees to the music and thinks that every time someone has food its for her. She has the biggest laugh and Loves playing with her sisters. Can you believe that she is 10 months old. ya me either.

Honor is right behind her sister walking. She still likes to crawl instead of walk. LOL Everyone always thinks Honor is the shy one. Don't let her fool you she is a screamer and has a mean side. She thinks everything is hers and will not think twice of taking a toy from Bree and then hitting her with it if she tries to take it back. Honor likes to see how things work. She has better small motor skills then Bree and likes to watch how something is done before she tries it. She is still the talker of the family and is all about screaming these days. if you come for a visit you might find her in the closet. LOL just kidding. But some days LOL.

All the girls are doing so good. In a few short months they will be turning 3 and 1 ahhh.

As for me. I am keeping busy. Mom and Dad help out too with the girls. They are a full time job that is for sure. haha. Marks Unit is doing what we are calling Miles to Afghanistan. I am running it with the help of another wife. We are trying to walk to Afghanistan and back its about 14,440 miles there and back you can learn more about it here http://www.milestoafghanistan18.blogspot.com/ (someone please tell me how I add a word that you can click on instead of putting the whole address) Any way if you want to join keep track of your miles and either add them in the comment section or send them to me. Just add H and S co (that's marks co) to your miles so that we get credit for them. Thanks guys.
I will add pictures soon. I promise I will do better at keeping you up to date with the P's. Thank you for all your prayers.

Love the P's
